Please note, there is annual Ethics and Sexual Harassment training required per the City’s Ethics Ordinance. In addition, new members will be required to take Texas Public Information Act and Open Meetings Act Training.

Boards and Commissions help implement the City Council’s vision, mission and goals. Participation on a Board and Commission is one of the most effective steps citizens can take in having an active voice in their government.
These are considered volunteer positions, and members do not receive compensation for their duties. However; they may be reimbursed for expenses if training and travel is necessary.
There are residency requirements, unless the board specifies otherwise, you must be 18 years of age or older, and a registered voter, with no outstanding debt owed to the City.
All Board and Commission meetings are open to the public in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
