[ARCHIVED] SPRAYING: Two neighborhoods to be sprayed for mosquitoes

FBTX ~ Two neighborhoods in Farmers Branch will be sprayed for mosquitoes following confirmation of West Nile Virus in sample mosquitoes trapped in those areas.

The spraying is tentatively scheduled for Friday night/Saturday morning, weather permitting and would happen in late night hours, following midnight in the central area neighborhood generally bounded by LBJ to the south, Longmeade to the north, Marsh Lane to the east and Webb Chapel/Austell to the west. Spraying will also take place on the west side, after midnight, in the area generally bounded by LBJ to the south, Valley View/Keenan Bridge to the north, Senlac Drive to the east and the neighborhood west of Luna Road.

Residents in those areas should bring in pet dishes or cover them, cover aquatic ponds, fish ponds and birdbaths, bring outside pets inside for the night and avoid going outdoors during spray times.
