[ARCHIVED] Branch Connection celebrated on 20th anniversary

FBTX ~ The 20th anniversary of The Branch Connection was observed at the Silver & Gold Soiree, including special ceremonies Saturday evening at the facility, followed by a special dance.

   Farmers Branch Mayor Robert C. Dye welcomed everyone to the celebration while the early years of senior programming and the construction of the building were explained by former Mayor Bob Phelps and former Senior Advisory Board Chair Katie Roberts.

   Current Advisory Board Chair Matt Rice added information about recent accomplishments, future plans and the rebranding of the facility. In conclusion, Mr. Rice offered a toast to the next 20 years at The Branch Connection, "where active adults make lasting connections."

   A dance followed the ceremony, featuring music of the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
