The Historical Park is excited to now offer tours by appointment! Tours will take place at 10 a.m. on select days in June. Tour reservations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance and the cost is $3 per person. Four structures will be toured and the maximum number of tour participants will be no more than five people per group.
You are welcome to come and explore the gardens, trails, and exteriors of our historic structures any time during our hours of operation.

School Field Trips
Experience NEW hands-on, interactive school tours at the Farmers Branch Historical Park with your students!
Structures and activities include:
A historic lesson in the 1910 one-room school house
Tour an 1840s log cabin homestead, card cotton, and participate in a hands-on demonstration in the blacksmith shed
Homestead garden instruction by the Dallas County Master Gardeners
Explore frontier medicine and our mock-archeology dig at the 1856 Gilbert House
A scavenger hunt in the 1927 General Store
Learn morse code at the original 1877 Farmers Branch Depot and Caboose
Discovering stereoscopes, thaumatropes, praxinoscopes, and more in the 1885 Queen Anne Victorian Cottage
Vintage toys and games at lunch
Register for grade level appropriate field trips now!
Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD and schools within Farmers Branch city limits can begin registering on August 1, and all other schools can begin registration on August 8. Tours include take home goodies for students and teachers, are themed with custom options available, and led by trained docents in period costumes. Teachers can choose which buildings to tour, to lunch in the park and/or to visit the museum store.
All tours are $3 per child.
