Masks are Now Required When Participating in Programs or Events
The Dallas County Commissioners Court has approved a measure now requiring all persons over the age of 10 to wear a mask or face covering in businesses & public buildings. The means when visiting the Historical Park grounds, wearing a mask is recommended, but when you are participating in one of our programs or events, wearing a mask is required.
The Historical Park is excited to now offer tours by appointment! Tours will take place at 10 a.m. on select days in December. Tour reservations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance and the cost is $3 per person. In order to follow the social distancing and capacity guidelines, at this time, only four structures will be toured and the maximum number of tour participants will be no more than five people per group. Historical Park staff and all guests must wear masks while touring the buildings and park grounds.

The Farmers Branch Historical Park is a museum nestled on 27 acres that trace more than 175 years of proud Farmers Branch history along with the history of Peters Colony, Texas, and the United States. Welcoming approximately 100,000 visitors each year, the Historical Park offers many opportunities from tours and educational programs to special events and activities. There are rental facilities available, and even a historic base ball team.
The mission of the Historical Park, as a living history museum, is to collect, preserve, interpret and celebrate the history of the United States and Texas with an emphasis on Peters Colony and Farmers Branch.
The concept of the Historical Park came about in 1981 with a movement to develop an outdoor museum. Its purpose is set to preserve and interpret the history of Texas and Peters Colony, with an emphasis on Farmers Branch.
