The Trinity River Paddling Trail is designated by the U.S. Park Service as a National Recreational Trail.  A portion of the Elm Fork trail runs parallel with the John F. Burke Nature Preserve. The Trail Master Plan identifies a paddle drop at the JFBNP. More information about the paddle trail  is available at the Trinity Coalition.
