Farmers Branch Drainage Basins

Cooks, Rawhide, and Farmers Branch Creeks

The City of Farmers Branch has three creeks that feed into the Elm Fork of the Trinity River: Cooks Creek, Rawhide Creek, and Farmers Branch Creek. Each of these creeks receives stormwater from different parts of the city, as indicated in the map above. The part of the city that is west of I-35E is part of the Valwood Improvement Authority and feeds into the Elm Fork of the Trinity River.
