Park After Dark: A Vintage Cocktail Workshop
Friday, May 10 from 7 pm to 9 pm
Ages 21 and up.
Fee: $20 per person, space is limited and pre-registration is required. Join us for a lesson in vintage cocktails by lantern light. Travel back in time as you try your hand at making a vintage cocktail and sampling others at the 1856 Gilbert House, the 1885 Queen Anne Victorian Cottage and the 1927 General Store. Painting with Paloma Bridal Series Workshop: Table Numbers and Placement Cards

Ages 16 and up Fee: $35 per person, $100 VIP experience, and all materials included. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Class will take place in the Dodson House.
The VIP experience includes all three sessions and a special gift.
Enter the world of watercolor! Join Paloma to develop a suite of beautifully illustrated assets for a floral inspired wedding and learn Brush Lettering techniques, tricks and styles along the way. This visually rich class follows the start-to-finish process of illustrating custom items for your big day. Table numbers and placement cards will be the focus this month. This series is also great for birthdays, anniversaries and baby showers. All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged!
Specialty Yoga in the Park with Rotha: Walking Meditative Yoga
Saturday, May 18 from 9 to 10 am
Ages 16 and up Fee: $10 per person, class will begin under the Gazebo.
Instructor – Rotha Crump Enjoy the beauty of the outdoors with a quiet, meditative yoga class. You will begin your walk silently as your instructor provides you with meditation. Stops along your walk will include instruction and traditional yoga poses with a final five senses meditation. Bring your own mat, towel or blanket. In case of inclement weather, class will be held indoors.
The Victorian Fencing Society will be offering free demonstrations. Come and watch, learn and practice the late 19th century art of swordplay with foils and sabres. Gentleman and ladies of all ages are encouraged to come and enjoy. No experience is necessary.
Star in Your Own Oral History: An Introduction

Do you have a family story that you'd like to pass down, but you don't have the right equipment or aren't sure where to start? If so, the Historical Park has you covered. Join us for a pop-up introductory Oral History session. Sessions are five minutes and are recorded.

The History of... lecture will focus on a favorite gentleman's pastime: Cigars! Learn about the history of cigars and tobacco from 7-7:45 pm, then step outside to see a cigar rolling demonstration. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cigar for a quick smoke outdoors until 8:30 pm.
Bring your own kite from home to the Farmers Branch Historical Park and enjoy an afternoon soaring in the Park's meadow. Take home instructions on how to make your own kite.
