Bridal Boot Camp - CANCELLED

Each Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm
Each Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm


Ages 16 and up
Fee: $80 per person/six week session, space is limited and pre-registration is required. Class will begin under the Gazebo.

Instructor – Rotha Crump

Join Rotha and get in shape for an upcoming special event in your life. Class will include fitness, cardio, strength, toning and nutritional coaching. In case of inclement weather, class will be held indoors.

First Friday:  Enjoying Easter!

Fee: $2 per person, space is limited and pre-registration is required. Parents/guardians must stay on-site.

Girl Scout Exhibit Tour 

Saturday, April 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm


Family Friendly 
Fee: $3 per person


Tour (begins at the flagpole) the Girl Scout exhibit at the Historical Park honoring the 107th birthday of the Girl Scouts of USA.  This tour is ideal for families, troops, past Girl Scouts and those interested in becoming Girl Scouts.

Vintage Base Ball Festival 

Saturday, April 6 from 10 am to 2 pm


Family Friendly 
Fee: $3 per person 


Huzzah!  Join the Farmers Branch Mustangs for a rousing afternoon of Vintage Base Ball.   Learn about the history of "base ball,"  make base ball themed crafts, listen to an old-fashioned music and more.  It's recommended that guests bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.   Admission also includes the first Saturday tour.

Chocolate-For-Kids-1

Everything Chocolate Workshop for Kids


Saturday, April 6 from 1 to 3 pm
Ages 6 - 12
Fee: $25 per person, space is limited and pre-registration is required.  Parents are asked to wait in the sitting area during class.

Instructor, Yeli Marshall, Chief Chocolate Officer at Yelibelly Chocolates

Children will learn how chocolate is grown and get to taste raw chocolate!   Then we will move on to dipping, writing with chocolate and using chocolate molds.   Everyone gets to take home a box of handmade chocolates.

Stop by the Dodson House south lawn for a friendly game of washers, horse shoes and giant pick up sticks.  Bragging rights will be awarded.   Why not make an afternoon of it and pack a picnic too?

Specialty Yoga in the Park with Rotha:  Laughter Yoga - CANCELLED (join us on May 18)

Ages 16 and up
Fee: $10 per person, class will begin under the Gazebo.

Laughter is the best medicine, so take your medicine with us. We will do traditional yoga poses with a few jokes, interesting music and laughter. This playful format will ignite your body's "happy" and healthy chemical reactions. Bring your own mat, towel or blanket. In case of inclement weather, class will be held indoors.

Painting with Paloma Bridal Series Workshop:  Thank You Cards and Save The Date

Thursday, April 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm

 
Ages 16 and up
Fee: $35 per person, $100 VIP experience, and all materials included. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Class will take place in the Dodson House.
The VIP experience includes all three sessions and a special gift.


Enter the world of watercolor! Join Paloma to develop a suite of beautifully illustrated assets for a floral inspired wedding and learn Brush Lettering techniques, tricks and styles along the way. This visually rich class follows the start-to-finish process of illustrating custom items for your big day. Thank you cards and Save the Date cards will be the focus this month. This series is also great for birthdays, anniversaries and baby showers. All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged!

Adult Candy Making Workshop with Yeli


Friday, April 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Ages 16 and up
Fee: $30 per person, space is limited and pre-registration is required.  

Instructor, Yeli Marshall, Chief Chocolate Officer at Yelibelly Chocolates

Learn how to make flavored ganache featuring fabulous floral spring flavors and roll your own chocolate truffles.  Then we move on to learn how to make string candy!   This is a unique and fun hard candy that turns into strings of sweet sugar.  Everyone gets to take home a box of homemade candy.

Spring Bird Walk

Bird Walk 9 to 10 am

Join Steve Romaine, Bird Enthusiast and Master Naturalist for an all-age Bird Walk. How many birds can you name? Birds of the Historical Park and Farmers Branch will be discussed and observed. Bird enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels are encouraged to participate. Guests are invited to bring binoculars, but are discouraged from bringing pets. Walk begins in the Historical Park parking lot at 9 am.
