4th of July in the General Store (Display)
July 4 - Labor Day
Celebrate the Birth of our Nation with a patriotic display. Come peruse the store to see 1920s merchandise you could have purchased for your Independence Day party. Items include patriotic ready-made decorations, create-your-own crafts, costumes, glassware, and even baked goods.
The General Store was the cornerstone for any community. It not only offered a great variety of merchandise, food, and necessities in a one-stop shop setting, but it also served as a meeting place where people congregated regularly to socialize and conduct business.
First Saturday Tour: Celebrating America!
July 6 | 12 - 2 pm (come & go)
$3 per person
Structures featured include General Store and School House.
Chalk the Historical Park
Sunday | July 7 | 1 – 4 pm (come & go)
Is there a budding artist in the family? Have them leave their mark in chalk in the designated area at the Historical Park. Chalk provided.
Family Star Party
Friday | July 12 | 7 – 10:30 pm (come & go)
Bring your own picnic (Kona Ice will be selling shaved ice) and enjoy the sunset. Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas will provide a variety of telescopes for viewing the moon, Jupiter with its many moons, Saturn, Open Star Clusters, Globular Star Clusters, Double Stars and Planetary Nebulae. Mr. Jeff Barton will have his meteorite collection on exhibit. In addition, participants are encouraged to bring their own telescopes. Family Friendly

Molecular Gastronomy Workshop with Yeli
Friday | July 19 | 6:30 – 8:30 pm
$35 per person; space is limited and pre-registration is required
Molecular gastronomy is the mix of food science and culinary arts together. Join us as we apply food science techniques to produce delicious and unique dessert options. We will explore liquid nitrogen, spherification, CO2 in foods and more. This class will be a mix of demos and hands on experiences for everyone. Everything we make….we eat! Ages 16 and up.
Scavenger Hunt in the Historical Park: Architecture
