Learn gardening tips and tricks and have fun meeting other gardeners at one of our programs! The Cultivators of Farmers Branch has programs in January and February that focuses on different gardening related topics and fun activities. 

The Joy of Bird Feeding

January 14 | 7:00 p.m. | Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center 

David Hurt from Wild Birds Unlimited will be talking about bird feeding. Delight in bringing local birds into your garden.


Outstanding Plants for North Central Texas

January 21 | 7:00 p.m. | Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center

Steve Huddleston from the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens will be leading a lecture on different area plants and trees. Discover the best trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and vines for a 52-county area in North Central Texas. 


Riparian Plants

Meghan Peoples from Texas A&M AgriLife Dallas County is going to be discussing shade and sun loving plants. Learn about sun loving and shade loving perennials, shrubs, grasses and trees that thrive next to and on the banks of creeks. 


CSI: Landscape Unit

Laura Miller from Texas A&M AgriLife Extention Tarrant County is going to help you better investigate your landscape issues! Sharpen your skills in diagnostics and problem-solving in your landscape.  


Rose Bingo

The Dallas Rose Society is hosting a Rose Bingo at the Manske Library! Buy a card and enjoy an afternoon of Bingo while winning roses for your landscape.


Sensational Succulents

Meghan Peoples from Texas A&M AgriLife Dallas County will be talking about succulents in this lecture. Become a trendsetter by learning all about growing various cacti, sedums, aloes, agave and more Texas tough perennials from the ground up.
