Murders & Mayhem Tours

Are you afraid of what goes bump in the night? Do you believe in ghosts? Listen to stories of Murder & Mayhem in the lantern light and solve a crime scene at a Goulish Gathering! Tours will be at 5:30 pm and 7 pm. Ticket includes one tour time and entrance to the Goulish Gathering from 6 – 7:30 pm where drinks and spooky snacks will be served.

Join us for an intimate celebration of the Day of the Dead also known as Dia de los Muertos. Festivities include food, aguas frescas and cinnamon hot chocolate, traditional décor, music, education about the holiday and honoring  the deceased.

Candy Making Workshop


Saturday, November 10 from 1 – 3 pm, inside the Dodson House


Fee: $20 per person/$35 for two; space is limited and pre-registration required. 

Instructor – Chocolatier yeli Marshall of Yelibelly Chocolates 
The family friendly class begins with a demo and discussion on candy making. Guests are guided through hands on candy pulling, hard candy making, lollipops and more. Each guest leaves with a box of candy they made themselves.

The Victorian Fencing Society presents a Grand Assault of Arms


Saturday, November 10 from 1 – 4 pm, at the Historical Park


Come & Go

A family friendly Public Exhibition of Nineteenth Century Fencing Matches, to be contested among the members of the Victorian Fencing Society with various fencing weapons to determine a champion. Visitors are invited to cheer for their champions, ask questions, and take photos of the events.

Park After Dark – Discover the Historical Park After Dark!


Friday, November 16 from 7 – 9 pm


Ages 21 and up

Join us for a lesson in vintage cocktails by lantern light. Each vintage cocktail will be taught at a different structure throughout the Park, and you get to take home the recipe.

BBQ Workshop


Saturday, November 17 from 12 – 3 pm, at the Historical Park


Ages 21 and up
Fee: $75 per person; space is limited and pre-registration is required.  


Whether you’re just starting out or have a smokin’ hot resume, you’ll certainly take your BBQ skills to the next level when you attend this workshop. Taught by an award- winning Texas pitmaster who will provide detailed, interactive  instruction: including choosing the right product, trimming, rubs and prep, wood selection, fire management, timing and slicing of the end product. Workshop includes barbecue lunch and refreshments.

Drop & Shop:  Kids’ Craft day – Christmas Presents


Saturday, November 24 from 1 – 5 pm, inside the Dodson House


Ages 5 – 12
Fee: $20 per child; space is limited and pre-registration required.


Join Samantha for an afternoon of beautiful handmade gift making and wrapping of Christmas presents for your favorite people. Children will leave with four gifts ready for giving to parents, grandparents, teachers, friends, and more. Snacks and juice will be provided throughout the afternoon, but we encourage each child to bring a water bottle. #practicallyperfectinthepark
